We logged in, used the same AVI name as in Second Life, and purchased Dracule Sim.
Couple days later started to build. One or two teething problems, logging in at <10,10,10>, no attachements, that kind of thing, but like all new things, it takes time for a new adventure to gain the degree of cohesion needed to make the experiance workable.
It will come together, the guys on Open Chat have been a tower of strength, and I am sure they have in some cases, worked for AOL. one solution was switch everything off, switch off your modem, then switch on and relog, lol, I used to tell AOL customers that and get my 35cents bonus per call.
My background is 35 years computers, started with Primes in 68, punching cards...., then teletypes, then I became an instructor and then, lets see, oh yes, became a Cypher tech. Once wrote code for Missile fins, talk to me about self modding code on a 1024 chip...
Designed and built Point of Sale concepts and sold them all over the USA, talk to myself in VB, PHP, MySql to name but three challenges. Still folks consider me a newb, you have to laugh.
Building a urban sim in OL, if i can get to stay logged in long enough :P
have a great day...
