Sakai has responded pointing out the script errors are b being looked at and the linking issues are a bug they are trying to resolve. Now... Lets see Second Life owners responding in a similar manner.

For my words, Sakai gets a good, 'Thumbs Up'.

Flashing Prims in the browser: (Sim related)

For the last frew days at the time of writing, I have been experiancing  prims flashing in and out of the viewscreen, obscuring the view you expect to see. They  seem to originate at the North and at trhe South and flash into the sim. They happen at all altitudes and to various visitors. It is not avatar specific, nor is it browser specific, it is sim specific and I have repeatedly asked for Sakai to resolve this isse as it is a sure fire way to generate a migraine for me and makes me tetchy and uncomfortable.

Scripts not working:

Yesterday, Scripts stopped working on my sim. I have made a walk enhancer, a simple vendor box any one can use, and vendors containing my own products. But as the scipt engine is not available to my sim, they are useless. It makes for a really frustrating experiance Read More »

It seems from this mornings electronic mail, that Open life and Second life are in the same news article again.

From Globe and Mail.com..

This time, the virtual proletariat are up in arms about an increase in what might be called virtual taxes - the fees that Linden Labs charges for various features inside the world/game. In this case, it's a fee increase for what are called "Openspaces," which the Second Life blog describes as "a type of private island that we made available for light use."

and firther into the article: ...some have chosen to leave for a better world: an open-source version of Second Life called OpenSim.

In OL, We made a store for Underwear on Dracule, Just to see how it goes. Looks good. However while trying to make more items prim based, we re-discovered the issues with multi linking.

When linking togther large complicated things, all seems well until one more link is made and suddenly most of the prims you are linking with change position and orientation!  Irritating. The geometry seems to stay correct, but the rotation and displacement seems to change.

The feature of Physics is one that needs addressing however, there is a solution of sorts.

Its all about 'Orientation'. In as much as, try the following:

1) Rez abox prim, change its dimensions to 1.22,0.01,0.5  (x, Read More »
