Ok, I found that if I create a new user in the dos-like version of the launcher, it does not transfer over to the standard launch... but I also found that there IS, after all, a command window for typing commands in the standard launcher, its just so far down, and I can only see about 1/4 of it as the rest falls outside the window (with my current settings) and it is impossible to resize the window to make the command line more easily visible... so I had to type the create command basically blindly into the box... but it did work...
I hope someone will fix this as I would hate to ave to adjust all my text sizes and such smaller just to make this one program fit my screen...
