3DX Studio Server (local sandbox region)

What is this for?

3DX Studio runs a region on your local PC. Great for Sandbox testing and or a local mess about region. It has many of the features we use in world (some functions may not exist that are in the OpenlifeGrid) but it's a handy tool all the same. Test scripts or just lay prim trash, we hope you enjoy the studio.

Simple How To - Start.

Download the Installer Package. Install.

Download the Viewer. Install.

Run the 3DXLauncher from desktop icon or my Programs. Click 'Start' on the first screen. When it's ready it will say ready for avatar connections.

Run the viewer. Choose 'Local' from the drop down menu on the right of the first screen (near your login).

Login using default avatar. Firstname 'Test'  Lastname 'User' -Password  'Password'

Assuming no firewall is blocking, and if VISTA you selected 'Run As administrator' you will now be logged in to your local Studio Edition!

Please note this software is now discontinued, Openlife uses the 3DXserver platform and efforts are now focused on a distributed services method. We may likely re-introduce a new specialized studio toolset in 2010.
